About NFC.GUIDE
NFC.GUIDE is reference documentation on near field communication, from the radio principles behind a tap to the questions that arise when tags are chosen, written and deployed. It is written for readers who need an answer that holds in a real installation rather than an overview of the technology.
What this site covers
The site covers the technology end to end: the standards and the physics behind a tap, the choice of tags and cards, writing and locking them, what Android and iOS each permit, automation, professional deployment, security and privacy, and the diagnosis of faults. Each guide answers a single question.
Getting in touch or reporting an error
Corrections, contradicting sources, topic requests and questions about the NFC Tools application go to the Wakdev support page. An error report should carry the page URL and the contradicting source. Substantiated corrections are applied, and the page's last updated date changes with them.
Commercial enquiries
Questions about NFC business cards and bulk orders go to nfc.cards.
